Partnerships, Collaborators and Other Sector Partners
Our Partnerships:
Government Support
The Government of Uganda recognizes microfinance as a key tool for reducing poverty. Since the 1990s, GoU has implemented programs aimed at developing the microfinance sector, The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives also continues to provide guidance to SACCOs in general, Therefore, PSAVE endeavors to benefit / partner with the existing government and other organizations which support SACCO’s both in terms of capacity building and low interest loans.
Such organizations include the Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSCL), Agricultural Business Initiative (aBi) Trust, Financial Services Deepening Project, SOLUTI Finance, among others.
Collaborators & Other Sector Partners
The microfinance sector in Uganda has a number of forums for networking and/or partnerships. In this PSAVE will seek to collaborate with other like-minded Church based SACCOs like Y-SAVE, the Franciscan, Redeemed, etc. PSAVE shall also seek to work with the Uganda Cooperative Savings and Credit Union (UCSCU) and Uganda Cooperative Alliance (UCA) as well as becoming a member of AMFIU (Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda).
